Carapace is an AI agent that executes commands autonomously. While we provide security safeguards, we are NOT RESPONSIBLE for actions taken by the AI. You use this service at your own risk. The AI may make mistakes, misinterpret commands, or take unexpected actions. Always verify critical operations and maintain backups.

Pilot Program - Things May Break

Carapace is currently in a PILOT PROGRAM. The service may experience downtime, data loss, bugs, or unexpected behavior. Features may change or be removed without notice. Do not rely on Carapace for critical operations. We strongly recommend NOT trusting it completely until it reaches stable production.

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Odyssey XXII LLC ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), a North Carolina limited liability company operating the Carapace service.

By accessing or using Carapace, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Carapace. By using the service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Service Description

Carapace provides an AI-powered autonomous agent service with security safeguards. The service:

  • Processes natural language commands through AI models
  • Executes commands in isolated cloud sandboxes
  • Analyzes commands for security risks before execution
  • Integrates with messaging platforms (Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp)
  • Provides audit logging of all agent actions

Limitation of Liability

YOU USE CARAPACE AT YOUR OWN RISK. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • Actions taken by the AI agent, including unintended or harmful commands
  • Data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access
  • Security breaches or vulnerabilities in connected channels
  • Service downtime, bugs, or errors
  • Financial loss or damages resulting from AI actions
  • Misinterpretation of commands by the AI
  • Third-party service failures (Anthropic, sandbox providers, channel providers)

CARAPACE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

User Responsibilities

By using Carapace, you agree to:

  • Review and approve risky commands when prompted
  • Monitor your agent's actions through audit logs
  • Maintain backups of critical data
  • Use the service in compliance with applicable laws
  • Not use the service for illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes
  • Not attempt to circumvent security safeguards
  • Secure your account credentials and channel tokens

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Odyssey XXII LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Carapace service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Commands you submit to or approve for the AI agent
  • Any content you transmit through the service

Prohibited Uses

You may not use Carapace to:

  • Violate laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Spread malware, spam, or malicious content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Overload or attack our infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer or copy the service

Subscription and Billing

Carapace offers a subscription-based service with a 7-day free trial:

  • $30/month for Carapace Unlimited after trial period
  • Billing is handled securely through Stripe
  • You can cancel anytime from your dashboard
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial months

Pilot Program Terms

As a pilot program service, additional terms apply:

  • Service availability is not guaranteed
  • Features may change, break, or be removed without notice
  • We may reset or wipe data during development
  • API contracts and data formats may change
  • Support response times are not guaranteed

Do not use Carapace for production-critical workloads during the pilot program.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in prohibited activities
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Abuse or overload the service

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings.

Upon termination or deletion of your account, we may delete your data after 30 days. We are not obligated to retain or provide copies of your data after this period.

Intellectual Property

Carapace, including its software, design, trademarks, and underlying technology, is owned by Odyssey XXII LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any data and content you submit to Carapace. By using the service, you grant Odyssey XXII LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, store, transmit, and process your data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the service.

Security Safeguards (Not Guarantees)

While Carapace implements security features (command analysis, user approval, sandboxing), these are safeguards, not guarantees:

  • The AI may incorrectly classify command risk levels
  • Security analysis may miss dangerous commands
  • Sandboxes may have vulnerabilities
  • Commands you approve will execute as requested

Always review commands carefully before approving them.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Carapace shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

General Provisions

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Odyssey XXII LLC regarding the use of Carapace and supersede any prior agreements.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
